Shannon Gyles is a Human Factors Specialist at ASC. She has a background in cognitive and experimental psychology and holds a PhD in Engineering Psychology from Oregon State University. Her previous research works focused on decision-making, sustained attention, and human-automation teaming. In her current role, Shannon bridges the gap between human capability, user needs, and engineering outcomes, to optimise overall performance, safety, and usability of submarine systems.
