Sergey Simakov

Dr Sergey Simakov is a Senior Researcher in the Sensors and Effectors Division at the Defence Science and Technology Group (DSTG). He received his PhD in Mathematical Physics and Applied Mathematics from Moscow State University in 1990 for research in fluid mechanics.
In 1995, he moved to Australia, and in 2002 he joined DSTG (then DSTO). His work at DSTG includes contributions to sonar signal processing, sonar modelling and simulation, and sonar performance prediction.
Dr Simakov is a member of IEEE and the Australian Mathematical Society.
