Kimmie is the President of Extreme Sonar, a company advancing next-generation underwater sensing technologies for defense and commercial applications. Her work focuses on detecting small, low-signature threats, such as emerging UUVs, with systems optimized for operation on small, distributed platforms in complex littoral environments. Drawing inspiration from sperm whale echolocation, she is leading the development of low-SWaP, high-performance acoustic solutions designed to improve detection in challenging underwater conditions.
